trying to uninstall adobe Reader 8.1.2

I have Adobe photoshop 7.0 and wanted to upgrade. I attempted to install
Adobe 8.1.2 & a red circled X from Window Installer told me the system
administrator has set policy to prevent this installation. I do not have
sufficient access to uninstall Adobe Reader 8.1.2 . Contact your systems
admin.
