We have a client who has a HP2300 printer on the remote
computer (USB connection). It does do show on the TS
Server.

Is ther a problem with USB printers showing in TS?

- Ed ;-?

This may help...

Printers That Use Ports That Do Not Begin With COM, LPT, or USB Are Not
Redirected in a Remote Desktop or Terminal Services Session

Hi Merv,

Thanks, this looks like just what I need. I'll implement
tomorrow.

Merv,

When I went to edit the registry key mentioned in the MS
Article I had a problem. The article said to add a Dword
FilterQueueType in the following key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Terminal Server
Client\Default\AddIns\RDPDR

Unfortunately, the key in the registry stopped at:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Terminal Server
Client\Default

Should I add AddIns and RDPDR keys?

- Ed

Yes, I believe that's the correct approach. If you temporarily install a
parallel port printer to the workstation, I think the system automatically
creates the "AddIns\RDPDR" key(s) and adds the parallel port printer to it
(might take a reboot or opening an RDP session for this to occur).
