Update for Windows Mail Junk e-mail filter
Update for windows Vista KB946041

get WindowsUpdate_8007000B WindowsUpdate_dt000 error
CAN NOT find any refference to this error.

Anyone got any suggestions?
Thanks

The update is not installed successfully, you receive a message, and the computer restarts
when you try to install an update in Windows Vista
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/949358
For those who are unfamiliar with System Restore in Vista - see Using System Restore from
the Vista Windows Recovery Environment

Hi AJ, Quote from the article - To avoid this problem, install update 937287 separately
from all other updates. Install the update that applies to your version of Windows Vista
to enable future updates to be installed successfully.
The links are in the article. Install this update separately and manually, reboot and you
should be okay (fingers crossed).

Before you start - create a manual restore point (just in case).

Okay, guys, this is my first post, so please be patient with me...I'm having
the same issue that AJ is having, and I'd love to restore my laptop, but I'm
not sure how to get it to that point. I can't get it in to safe mode (it
starts up right on to the "configuring" screen), so I'm not sure what to do
next. Are you saying that this thing will eventually time out and then I can
restore? Thank you.

Yes, I had read the other posts...but I wasn't receiving a message and my
computer wasn't restarting, which is why I couldn't get into Safe Mode.
After four hours, it finally went to the desktop magically (never did get an
error message), and I was able to do what you suggested from there. Thanks
for the reply.
