Tun miniport adapter #2

am running Win XP Pro on networked machine as host of ICS. Downloaded update
886185, and immediately lost internet connection on this unit. I immediately
uninstalled the update, but still have not been able to regain connectivity.
The Client computer has not had the update downloaded and it able to connect
to the internet as the new host. I can set up a network between the two and
see each other temporarily, but as soon as I reboot one, we lose the network.
I have attempted to connect #1 singlely to the internet to no avail. I now
have an adapter (tun miniport #2) that shows up with exclam. mark in Device
Manager that was not there before. I cannot resolve the problem with it, and
when I attempt to remove it, I get the message that it is necessary for the
computer to boot up and will not allow me to remove it. HELP! Please...
