I bought a "Vista Certified" Compro VideoMate T750 hybrid tuner PCI card.
My PC is a Quad core Intel, running Vista Home Premium.

When I plug this tuner card into my PCI slot, Vista doesn't see it at all.
The powerlight on the card is lit.

If I plug the card into my other XP PC, on boot, the PC immediately
recognizes the new card and prompts for drivers.

Any suggestions?

drivers manually?

Yes I will.

The instructions were to install the card, which I did. Then I was told to
reboot and cancel any attempts to load drivers***. Then install the
software and drivers and then reboot and install the drivers.

But at ***, the card was not seen by Vista, and in Device Manager no
unrecognized device was listed. Nothing. Put it in my XP PC and
immediately XP saw the card and wanted to load the drivers.

Reseated the card, tried other PCI slots, but Vista doesn't see the card.

I am stuffed!

Vista doesn't see the card at all. It does *not* try to install drivers.

hmmm, another verified case of someone who bought "Vista Certified" hardware
that doesn't work, and not one MVP or fanboy in sight.
why is that?
don't worry Old Bloke, I'm sure one will be around shortly to tell you that
it's all your fault, or that you should have done your "homework".
