Thanks but no, after I re-read my post it's not as clear as I meant i
to be. I agree the help in Vista is tremendous. However, what I mean
was...
When going through the help center aka Welcome Center and you click o
one of the help links (text that acts like a hyperlink) it get
highlighted as though it were a hyperlink and you're then directed t
the answer.
My problem is when you go back to the original screen showing the lin
you just clicked it remains highlighted as though you've "been ther
done that". That's OK except the link does not reset even when I reboo
or change users.
This is proving to be a problem because my two sons (7 and 10) ar
getting confused after each uses the help section. I've told them t
read through whatever interests them but when one does so it confuse
the next boy into believing he already visited that link (because th
link still appears as though it's been visited) and he then ignore
reading that section
Sorta stupid...I know. But I rarely if ever use the built-in hel
sections of windows. I prefer more advanced techy books and resource
apart from the online help. Thus, I've never encountered this issue no
have I seen it occur in other windows versions.
In reality it acts like it's being managed as though it were a we
browser where visited links change hue but these can always be rese
when you refresh, clean your cache, history, etc
Perhaps I should change the options in IE, thereby it may change th
way Vista's Welcome Center handles link visits
