Turn Off 'My Sharing Folders'

I've just upgraded (?) to version 8 of Windows Live Messenger. Is there a
way of getting rid of the 'My Sharing Folders' system folder. I don't want
another folder to store files that I might share and any that I do wish to
share I'll pick out individually and e-mail direct anyway.

Thanks to all who can help,
Spear.

Greetings Gary,

Although you can turn off the feature, even if you forcibly delete the folder, it will just
be recreated when Messenger starts.

You can however, remove (well hide) it from My Computer using TweakUI if it bothers you
there.

Just so we're on the same 'page' here; I'm on about the 'My Sharing Folders'
folder that Windows Messenger Live creates, NOT the standard Windows shared
folder. Assuming we're on the same 'page' which option in Tweak UI do I use
to hide it. (And does anyone know how to blow it up.)

Hi Spear,

We are talking about the same thing. It's under the My Computer option in TweakUI, you just
uncheck 'My Sharing Folders' and that's it.
