Turn off new browser windows in Vista?

Hi all,

Hopefully this is the right group to post this. I just bought a laptop
with Vista. When I use IE 7 and click on a link, it always opens in a
new browser window. There is a popup or msgbox stating "for your
protection, links are opened in new browser windows" or some such
nonsense. This behavior is starting to get irritating, and the only
way I know to prevent it is to add both the current site and the site
I want to visit to the Trusted Sites list. Obviously, this is very
tedious and I don't necessarily want a site to be Trusted, I just want
to visit it.

Is there any way to turn off this behavior?

Thx,
--JP

Um since you know how to use newsgroups, I'm surprised you don't know
that you should be using firefox.

That option is already checked on the IE options page.
