I do not use those stores , is there a way to turn off the ever growing list
and those All services /Music/radio/Video buttons

I prefer empty space than those stores so that it at least doesnt query my
ever slow internet evey time my mouse goes over there?

Any registr hacks. or file edits?

I still listen to web content like movie trailers, but in IE , so I dont
want to disable the WMP from accesing internet. , its just the music stores
and the long list.

I'm not aware of any - this is a fairly basic part of the player. Those
stores help provide the metadata backbone for the player nowadays. If you
don't want the player to connect online, "Work Offline" is I believe the
official answer. =\

For English-speakers, changing the user locale to something like
English(Belize) - ie a country without an onlin store presence - works
but may have side-effects elsewhere in the system.
