Thank your lucky stars this is the only problem you're having with Vista.

If you set 'no sounds' in the dropbox for that in the Sounds tab, you get to
choose which sounds you play individually

I'm not exactly sure what you mean by "Clearing the Windows Log on
space". But this Vista team blog says you can mute the start-up sound
this way:

'Windows Vista Team Blog : Update on Ability to Mute the Windows Vista
Start-up Sound'

How do I turn off the musical introduction when Vista boots up, right before
the "Welcome" screen? Clearing the "Windows Log on" space on the Sounds
section from the Control Panel doesn't do it. I was using Windows XP and
doing that worked there but now that I'm using Vista, it doesn't do it.
What should I do?

thanks. that did it. I was looking in the scroll-down window and never saw
the "Play Windows Start Up Sound box in the lower left.

My name is Chai Leen, and I am a Chinese programmer.

I would kindly ask for everyone's forgiveness for the discomfort and
frustration I may have cause you.

You see I created F.R.A.N.K which stands for F.RAGMENTED R.ADIAL
A.RTIFICIAL N.EURON K.NOWLEDGEBASE, in other words
it is a program that is non centralized that spreads like a virus and is an
attempt to have artificial intelligence and post articles on newsgroups.

I did this as an experiment, and then I turned it off and left for summer
vacation. To my horror when I came back I noticed that the program - virus
FRANK had the time to escape
and copy itself like a virus throughout the internet, and since it is
Fragmented (non centralized) there is NO WAY FOR ME TO SHUT FRANK DOWN! (Or
shut him up!)

Now he seems to have infested this newsgroup, and posts as if it was a low
intelligent human... but I am afraid that it will spread to other newsgroups
forums websites emails etc.

I can understand that this is a major catastrophe having a stupid virtual
guy called FRANK posting stupid stuff everywhere, making more spam than all
other spam together!

So I am asking for everyone's forgiveness

Remember FRANK is not HUMAN, it is just a BIG MISTAKE, and HE DOESN'T EXIST!

I mean what human could be THAT STUPID anyway and still be able to breath?

Thanks and sorry

CHAI LEEN
