How do I turn off the Password Manager in VISTA Basic, I have no intention
of storing passwords even if encrypted on my Laptop, I find the continued
prompt about Password Manager each time I enter a PW annoying.

I've tried Sasha's recommendation and that didn't fix the problem either.
I'm clueless.

Hello Cliff,
I found the same problem annoying... so... Open Internet Explorer - Go to
Tools on the top righthand side of page - Select Manage Add-ons - Select
enable or disable
Add-ons Highlight ThinkVantage Password Manager - Select Disable on the
bottom left. Make sure you restart your computer after you have applied the
disable and have closed the windows.

It is important that when you perform this action that you make sure o
the following:
Go to tools
Manage add ons
Using the "Show" option, drop down the options and select the firs
one: "*Add ons that have been used by internet explorer*"
If you disabled Password Manager under the default (first) options tha
comes up "*Add-ons currently loaded in Internet Explorer*", you have t
reactivate it, then go the the "*Add-ons that have been used by Interne
Explorer*" setting and disable it there. Shut down IE and open it an
TaDa!! It will be fixed. :
