turns it's self off

I did all the below like a good boy but, where is say's "Smartlink" mine says
"Aztech CNR V.92 Modem" anyway, I continued & found I couldent get internet
conections, had to restore, so I'm left with a PC that keeps shutting down &
telling me to do the same thing !!!! Help

2. Click Printers and Other Hardware, and then click Phone and Modem Options.
3. Click the Modems tab.
4. Right-click the Smartlink modem, and then click Properties.
5. Click the the Driver tab, and then click Update Driver.
6. Select Install the software automatically (Recommended), and then click
Next. This will update the Smartlink Modem driver to the newest version,
which is already available on your computer with Windows XP SP2.
