Hi,
I changed yesterday from OE to WLM.
Nice software, but I have one simple question (until now!):
How can I make just one inbox for my two mail accounts?

Now I have account 1 with inbox, outbox, junk mail etc.
and below is account 2 with the same

in OE I had only one inbox!

Regards

Wolfgang

PS: Sorry for my english!
Here is Question 2: how can I get the english spelling check to work?

(Alt) View, Layout, Folder pane, check Show Quick views.
If All Inbox is not showing in Quick views, right click, Select Quick views,
check All Inbox.

Since Ron answered question number one, I'll tackle number two.

Tools|Options, click the Spelling tab, and make sure the first box is
checked to have it spell check before sending the message. You may check any
of the other options, if desired.

English spell checking must be installed and the default.

I checking spelling as I type. Misspelled words will be underlined. You
can change the default spell check language and then get spell checking as
you type a different language. I don't need the spelling checked before
sending.

Hi,

how can I change the default language from one email to another? I write
emails in different languages and would like to change the default language
depending on what email I write. Is there no way to tell the spell checker
to check for a specific language - just as you can do in MS Word?

Thanks.

Matthias

The 'Default language' feature is for those who use only one language for
the most part. For those who regularly compose in different languages,
there is the option to 'Check spelling in current input language'. This
means that if you change your input language using the language bar, WLMail
will recognize this and invoke the appropriate dictionary. Much the easiest
way to achieve this is:
* Ensure that the languages you wish to use are installed in the OS
Regional and Language options in the Control panel.
* Unless you know your way around the other languages' keyboards, set the
keyboard for each language to the one you normally use.
* Set up keyboard shortcuts for the different languages. I have Left Alt -
Left Shift - 3 for 3nglish and L Alt - L Shift - 6 for 6erman, for example.
* Make sure your Language bar is showing; you can minimize it to the
taskbar where it only shows as a two-letter abbreviation for the current
input language, and a click here will show you all the languages available
for selection if you forget the shortcut.
* Choose 'Check my spelling as I type'. This will put a wiggly red line
under any word misspelt in the current input language; if you have mixed
languages in a message, switch input language to highlight errors in each
one.

There is no Word-like detection of language. The program expects you to
know which language you're using.

It depends which languages you want to use. When my computer is
on-line, WLMail allows me to download and install spell-check
options for the following languages:

Basque, Bulgarian, Catalan, Croatian, Czech, Dutch (NL), English
(4 versions), Estonian, Finnish, French, German (4 versions),
Greek, Hungarian, Indonesian, Italian, Korean, Latvian,
Lithuanian, Polish, Portuguese (2 versions), Romanian, Russian,
Serbian (Cyrillic), Slovak, Slovenian, Spanish (Traditional),
Swedish, Turkish, and Ukrainian.

Click on Tools / Options / Spelling - and check whether the
required language has been installed. If the language is listed
as "Available" but has not been installed, select the language,
click on "Install", followed by "Apply". Once you have installed
the language, you can click on its name followed by "Set
Default".

Incidentally language settings in WLMail apply to the entire
message. Unlike MS Word, WLMail does not provide any facility to
spell-check multiple languages within a single message.

As an alternative to setting a default language, you can
configure WLMail to spell-check in the current input language.
Then, WLMail will use the appropriate spell-checker, when you
change the Regional settings in Windows.

I don't speak

Thanks to all!
As I use a german Installation and write mostly in German, "German as
default language is best for me.
The question is, how can I change to English with minimum effort.
So my questions are:
1. where can I find : the option to 'Check spelling in current input
language'?
2. what means: change your input language using the language bar?
3. Make sure your Language bar is showing???

TIA

Wolfgang

It is in an English version of WLMail the fourth option on the page at
[Tools >] Options > Spelling

> 2. what means: change your input language using the language bar?

In your Windows Control Panel, there is a section called something like
Regional and Language Options. In the Language part, you should have the
possibility to install different languages for use in many parts of the
system. Here, you will also be able to specify which keyboard you want to
use. You could elect to install English (United Kingdom) but use the German
keyboard.
On the same settings page there should be a Language bar... button which
enables you to display the language bar on your desktop. Using the Language
bar, you can switch between input languages.

> 3. Make sure your Language bar is showing???

See above, where under 'Key settings' you can select keyboard shortcuts to
enable quick switching between languages.

Now 1 can switch fast between G and E by keyboard shortcuts, what is great.

I still have 2 probs>
1. now y and z is changed, that is the difference in the English and German
keyboard.
As I use my German keyboard for both languages, this is not so funny
.....
2. I still cannot see a language bar. Where should it be? in the blue area
of the screen or in the lowest area of the mail window?

Again TIA Wolfgang
