2) Yep. Windows Live Messenger and Yahoo Messenger interoperate. You can talk to anyone on
either network. On Messenger, it's done by
, hence why you get both.
3) I don't believe you can stop this besides changing your @yahoo address to something else
which is a process which has its own issues...
