Two Windows questions

1. If i have a system running a new install of XP (Pro or Home) with just SP1
installed, can I just download sp2 and install it or do i need to
approximately 70 other updates to SP1 before Sp2 can be insatlled?

2. On many systems I seea printer installed named Microsoft Office Document
Image Writer. Can someone explain what this is and why/When I would use it?

SP2 + 70+ more updates after that.

A part of the Office suite (Microsoft Office that is.)
In case you want to print to a file - sorta like printing to PDF.
