When I type the words skip to previous paragraph

Whenever Im typing the words occasionally skip. I am not touching the
touchpad with my palm.
Ive looked all over the internet for a solution.

I am using windows vista and have a toshiba satellite laptop.

Anyone with advice keep in mind im computer illiterate!

Umm, Are you accidentally hitting the touch pad or the up/down arrows?

Do you have Voice commands switched on?

Do you have the embedded number keypad turned on (accessed with the ALT
or Fn key (not sure with Toshiba.

Can you go to CONTROL PANEL and then put that in Traditional View and
then Click on Devices and see if there are any Yellow explanation marks.
Report back if any

How old is the Laptop? Can it go back to the shop you bought it?

no i am not touching any arrows or the touchpad. no voice command.there are
no yellow exclamation points. this laptop is brand new. number keypad
whatever thingy yr talking about is not on.

ive looked online and apparently this is a semi common problem but the
solutions that are online do not comply with my computer.

Have you tried disabling the touchpad and using an external mouse? I see
this often with many laptop users. It's almost always the touchpad.
