UAC Blocking RivaTuner Start Up

There's a wonderful NVidia tweaking utilitiy called RivaTuner that will do
things the graphics card drivers won't do yet... the utility runs in Vista
(I'm using the "Ultimate Edition 32-bit)... but Vista UAC blocks it every
time even though the .exe is set to "run as administrator"... It throws an
icon in my notification area which allows the start ups to run but you have
to allow it every time...

The registry keys are:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Run

"C:\Program Files\RivaTuner v2.01\RivaTuner.exe" /T
"C:\Program Files\RivaTuner v2.01\RivaTuner.exe" /S

RivaTuner is NOT malware... How can these executables be set to run without
Vista intervention or how can the "allow" settings be made to persist after
a reboot ?

Thanks... t

it probably requires admin privel to run.
unless the author fixes it, not much choice.
you can stop it from auto run and run as scheduled task at logon instead.

It's not malware, it's just not compatible with the security options in
Vista. There is no way to fix this except enable it each time the system
starts. To avoid the blocking, I would recommend placing a shortcut for the
utility in a handy location so you can simply start it manually after the
system starts.

You might also want to check with the developer of that utility to see if
they plan on releasing a Vista compatible version.
