Does anyone know what this application is? It wants to make changes to my
laptop and UAC is asking my permission. It appears after I close out of MSN
Explorer.

Probably the Reksa.A worm

See http://answers.yahoo.com/question/in...0204916AAqu26O

Looks like Vista's UAC is helping you out in this instance.

Thanks Brian. I truly love my Vista!
Would you know how I can rid myself of this?

Ever hear of Google ?
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q...=Google+Search

You would love Vista more if you had an antivirus program installed and
scanned email attachments.

I Have WLOC, it's should have caught it then!
Why didn't it?

MVP MowGreen
I've run WLOC and Windows Defender they both say my laptop has no harmful
agents.

Any other suggestions that my ignorant self might not be aware of?

Is it possible that the Reksa.A worm has mutated?

I've had both Windows Live One Care and Windwos Defender for over a year now.

Both claim that my laptop is clean. What do you say to that?

Anyway UAC displayed the path and I've deleted MSN6 and I've uninstalled MSN
Explorer.

I plan to reinstall MSN and check to see what I've done by deleting MSN6.
