UAC

Is there a way to make UAC to stop asking me for permission for a
shortcut/program that's been run once with my authorization and set run
as administrator (e.g., games)?

No, you will have to give the program permission each time it runs.

Well, this is what I have done to try to skip these annoying dialogs. I
realise this may negate some of the protection that MS seems to think I
need.

I may add, I know next to nothing about computer security other than running
a firewall and virus scanner etc. (this may be obvious from the following

So all I did was run secpol.msc, select Local Policies->Security Options.
Scrolled down to User Account: Behavior of the elevation prompt for
Administrators in Admin Approval Mode, changed to Elevate without Prompting.

Now I do know, that this is defeating the whole point, *but*, since MS don't
allow any other way for an Administrator to indicate that 'YES I do know
this program and want you to remember that!', I will not put up with the
constant nagging.
