Hey all you Ubuntu lurkers out there. I want to install Ubuntu on my hard
disk just to see what all the fuss is about this OS. I will probably still
run Windows most of the time.

My question is during the installation it wants to take 38% of my hard drive
for Ubuntu. I only want to give it 10%. How do I do this?

Bob

You can find the information in this link and it takes about 15GB in my
120GB HD,it wouldn't mess up your Vista installation and if you don't like it
after trying you can remove it from Control Panel just like any other program.

Custom partitioning. But why not simply install it in a virtual machine?

Evidently, someone DID want to hear about Ubuntu - else (s)he would not
have posted the question. If you want to rag on someone, I suggest you
try the OP - I simply answered the question.

Well, doofus, he evidently HAS ms installed and it's not meeting his
needs. I can certainly understand that. It could also be that he doesn't
WANT to do 'real work' at least according to your definition. Frankly,
I'd call national defense 'real work' - the nation's test ranges don't
use ms for developmental testing - I know.

If I were you, I would take your TOPICS to the proper alt forum. No need to
spread your filth here.

No, Bill, or whatever your name is, they're your and Frank's topics.
Everyone knows that.
