Another 27 patches were installed today on an operating system that was
released for public beta testing on October 30th.

Why should the public be doing their "beta" testing?

To recap:

first 89 patches

Then, another 14 patches

And now, 27 MORE patches.

All of this within the first month! Amazing - NOT.

Nothing like rushing an unfinished operating system out the door just so
the developer can say "we released it on time"!

Not all of them were patches but updates. Try installing XP without a
service pack and see how many you get. Do the same with Vista. Microsoft
recently released a patch for XP that they have known about for SEVEN
years. I prefer my patches/updates to come in a timely fashion, not
SEVEN years later. I installed Intrepid the day it came out and it was
great. After all the patches/updates, it's even better so you were saying?

You just don't get it - do you?

Vista is two years old - not 30 days old!!!

And XP is even older. I prefer not to have to wait years for patches and
updates. You don't get it. Windows based machines are the ones in the
botnets that send you spam. Windows based machines get infected on a
regular basis. Ubuntu machines are NOT a part of botnets and never get
infected. Ergo, Ubuntu is doing something right about security and
Microsoft is playing catch up and never catches up.

You're really scraping the bottom of the barrel with this one. Why are
you so desperate to prove that Windows is better than Ubuntu?

Umm and ALL these patches are for the OS - i.e. the LINUX KERNEL? I think
not.

No - YOU don't get it. Differentiate between OPERATING SYSTEM and
APPLICATIONS. If you can that is....
