Who thought that green frame around profile pictures would look good? It's
ugly and out of place. Get rid of it!

Everything else is great

The frame's colour matches the contact's status.

Green = Available
Orange = Away
Red = Busy
Grey = Appear offline

Useful.. but perphaps it should be present in a more discreet way.

Oh that's better than I thought then. But yes, whatever colour / theme /
background I pick, there's this hideous green over it, right now. Can it be
less... hideous? I would love to be able to customise it.

I agree. A subtle green (or associated colour) with less opacity would do wonders against
the current implementation.

It would be nice to be able to turn that option off altogether. It's
necessity could be argued, given their status being clearly displayed at the
top of the message window. I did not even know what that green meant, since
the concept has never been even used before. Could it mean their latency?
Maybe they chose the colour?

Plus, it does not look against my purple background.

I think it looks good, some people are afraid of the change in the new
messenger because its different to its predecessor. Its about time messenger
got a overhaul of features but yes maybe if there was an option to customise
the colour for a different status that would be good so that everyones happy.

Seems to be a lot of forced things in this release (the bullets for instance).

I'm hoping some further options make an appearance.
