where did the column go that used show weather someone was actually a MVP.
You know the one that feel somewhere in between the sent and size column?

Funny how people add the tag MVP to their names and at the bottom of their
posts.

That feature only works if you post by the web interface or if you are using
Windows Mail, enabled "Use newsgroup message rating features", and signed in
to Microsoft Communities. Even then it is unreliable. If you see the MVP
icon you can be fairly sure an MVP posted the message. Just because it's not
there doesn't mean they are not an MVP. I sometimes post from Linux so this
feature isn't enabled. Many MVPs use NNTP clients other than Windows Mail.
The metadata sometimes just plain doesn't work. Don't rely on it to see if
someone is an MVP or not. If you are not sure ask them for a link to their
profile. It's pretty hard to fake this.

Not all MVPs have public profiles so even this is not 100% effective at
determining if someone is actually an MVP. If they do have a public profile
they are definitely an MVP.
