Ref MSN Live 8.1 locally ...... and unknown version at remote end.

Hi,

Sorry if this has been covered before or is a official feature.

I would like to understand if anyone else has seen / experienced a break in
to a Chat Conversation. To me it looks like advertising material. I.e.
SPONSORED LINK followed by a URL of some sorts...

Some are harmless links (Job Seekers) others can be a bit more dubious.
( Gay prostitution)

Can anyone offer some insight into this ?

Thanks

Don Mclean

Yes!
I had this before. But no URLs but vulgar words...
This was before a half year. No one knows anything.
But I figured it out: There is a way a 'potentially unwanted' script could
use a feature of Messenger Plus to send such messages.
Maybe either you or your contact have Plus installed and this "virus".
If you have, both of you should try to remove the Plus addin and then test
if it happens again.
