The taskbar won't allow me to unlock it, even through the control
panel.
I think this has something to do with the fact that my computer
doesn't seem to want to store any data for any forms or menus. Even if
I hit the apply key after changing up some options, they don't take
affect, and when I enter teh page of checkboxes again, they've all
reverted to their defaults.
I don't mean to be vague about where these checkboxes are, but I have
to, because everything from system settings to mouse, keyboard and
taskbar properties windows do the same
As an added bonus for the problem solvers out there, my start menu
doesn't display any pinned items or recently used programs, and the
recent documents menu is always empty. I'm tired of working under
these conditions (two weeks now) and aaannnyyy help is appreciated.
