unable to add email account

hi,

I have recently installed the windows live mail to my computer, which
imported my email accounts from outlook express.
These were not needed so i deleted them.
now when i click on 'add new email account' the box opens and i add my
hotmail details, but when i click finished the box just disappears and i have
no email account created.
i cannot get any account to be created now.
I am using XP.

Any ideas please

get in "Tools"-"account" to see more details. maybe you can add mail
accounts from there place.

Were you using pop3 or WebDAV for the Hotmail account in Outlook Express ?

Have you tried exporting your accounts to an *.iaf file in Outlook Express(save to an Explorer folder and remember the location),
then import into WLM using the Import function. (Tools/Accounts../Import)
