Always state your full Windows version (e.g., Win2003 SP2) when posting to
this newsgroup, please.

Is KB958644 the only update that you'd just installed? Does uninstalling it
resolve the behavior?

nevermind, turns out there was an update done to my AV software that
had not taken effect yet, (since it needed to reboot) and when the
system did, it implemented the update, and broke my browsing
capability.

Then KB958644 wasn't causing the problem to begin with.

Hi,
same issue for me on two different servers:
Windows server 2003 SBS SP2 and Windows 2003 Standard Edition SP2
No issue on Windows 2003 server R2 SP2

The problem remains unfixed even after the patch uninstallation.

Please help me asap... Thanks a lot

Hi Ziggyzog,
You was right. The problem was the AVG antivirus software. I removed it and
then I installed again the Microsoft patch. After that, I've reinstalled the
last AVG version and now everything is ok.

Of course everything was ok after the Microsof patch too, so I'm not so sure
that AVG was really the guilty. Anyway now I can use my server..

Thanks a lot! Bye.

Mike, are you running AVG AV Pro, Internet Security, or AV plus Firewall
v8.0.196?

Are you running AVG Free or a paid version (e.g., AVG AV, AV w/Firewall,
Internet Security)?
