Unable to Delete local Namespace on Server

I have a 2003 R2 server where I created a local namespace. I had already
created a shared folder on the server with the same name as the namespace. I
decided to let the Windows 2003 R2 just be a spoke in a Windows Server 2003
SP2 replication topology so I deleted the shared folder, but I cannot delete
the Namespace entry through DFS Management. When I click Delete I get a
dialogue box that tells me the RPC server is unavailable, even though RPC is
obviously running. What can I do to resolve this issue.
