Windows tells me that I have 6 critical updates and 3 regular updates that need to be installed. I have done it 3 or 4 times and keep getting the same message. The updates history tells me that they have been installed successfully. How can I tell which is correct?

Also, my Symantec virus software says it can't remove a Beagle virus and I can't update my virus software either. Could the 2 problems be connected. Any help is really appreaciated! Jim K.

I suggest posting your problem in the .virus NG. Sounds to me like you
have an infection, not an update problem.

Sendem, thanks for the suggestion. Both problems went away today after downloading and installing a cumulative update by itself. Don't know if that's what fixed it or not, but just thought I would pass it on if anyone else is having the same problem.
