Unable to find any update

Hi

XP SP2.
Use express install in Windows Update.
After scan, no update has ever been found.
Please help.

When did you install SP2, and when was the last time you did find updates?
Do you have autoupdate enabled to download & install automatically? Check in
the security center options in your control panel.

My problem is similar, no updates available. SP2 was installed the 14 Oct
and from then nothing comes up when running search. I have set the update to
notify me when anything is available.

I just built a new computer and loaded XPSP1 as the OS. Couldn't get WUP to
show anything as required and had to download and install SP2 from a CD.

After installing, I still get no WUP. I tried turning off Firewall, PopUps,
and AV. Still, nothing.

This is just weird. Where is MS on this?

Hi - you should post new questions as new posts, not replies in existing
posts, for 'maximum exposure'. That said - what errors do you get?

nor pop up blockere

i don't get any errors at all ... just nothing happens except it stays on the
page that says looking for latest version of update ... it may take a few
minutes ...

then nothing ... just sits there ...

i've done the registration of the jscript.dll, cleared the cache, etc., etc.,

nothing.

I know how to fix this! ! ! !
All you need to do is go up a couple of posts and you will see one replied
by deerbuck "got sp2 now updates page doesnt work". deerbuck has put in a
solution and it sorted mine out! Am now getting loads of updates! dougd
