Unable to get second partition to load

I had a hard drive that had a lot of bad sectors, so I bought a new
drive (320GB to 500GB) and ran Norton Ghost on it. Now, when I boot
into Windows Vista I do not see my second partition. I go into the
Disk Management Console and it sees the drive. When I right click to
set a drive letter it says:
"The operation failed to complete because the disk management console
view is not-up-to-date." I refresh my console and that does not work,
I restarted the computer and still get the same message. Does anyone
know how I could fix this?
