I keep getting "Insert Windows XP KB83945 source files now" Network location from which files should be copied C:\Windows\Service Pack Files\i386/controls.man is not available. Then it gives me an erro message that I need to restore the files. I do not know how to do that or fix this problem

Hi Moot,

I understand that the error "C:\windows\service pack
files\i386/controls.man is not
available" keeps popping up. As previously mentioned, it should be caused
by the
third party conflicts. Thus, I suggest we install the update in the Safe
Mode.

I would like to confirm with you:

Can you download the update 839645 from the following link?

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...B8E-666B-4C82-
A9ED-FC0
F84F107BA&displaylang=en

If so, please try to boot in the Safe Mode to install this update and I
believe
that the error will not occur:

Enter Safe Mode

1. Restart your computer.
2. While your computer is booting up, press F8 to invoke the startup menu.
3. In the startup menu, choose Safe Mode.
4. Log on as an administrator.
Note: In Safe Mode, your system display and Desktop will look and perform
differently than in Normal Mode. This is only temporary.

In the Safe Mode, please double click the downloaded update to install it.

Thanks
