*Temporarily disable* the installed AntiVirus software.
Download the update from here:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en
When the download is finished, close the browser and any other open programs
Now install WindowsXP-KB914388-x86-ENU.exe
Whether the update installs or not, *** reenable the installed AV ***
If the update failed to install again, please post the ** last 2
sections ** of the KB914388.log
