Unable to install SP1

When I try to install SP1 I get a bluescreen when windows finishes installing
stage 3 and boots up. It appears just as the desktop loads. I am using vista
Ultimate with all updates apart from sp1 installed. The spec of my computer
isn't an issue. I have all latest drivers installed.

Any help in getting the SP1 installed would be much appreciated

Have you read the Release Notes?

Go here, download the full standalone install;
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...DisplayLang=en

Boot into Safe Mode (F8) and start the install from there.

I've used this method on three different Vista machines,
two desktops and one laptop..... it has worked flawlessly.
