Unable to Install update KB885884 - "file is corrupt"

Hi there,
I tried to install the update KB885884 ("Critical Update for Office XP on
Windows XP Service Pack 2") from the Microsoft update site several times now
and it just keeps failing.

I've download the EXE containing the update file from the following address:

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...DisplayLang=en

and ran it. After a few seconds it just comes up with the error: "File is
corrupt", as in the following screenshot:

I think it may be the reason it fails on Microsoft update, but I couldn't
find any solution among the posts here and in Microsoft.com knowledge base.

What can I do to solve this problam? Any help will be GREATLY appreciated.

Try running "chkdsk", also defrag.
Clear out Temporary Internet Files.

Before doing so - check for spyware/viruses etc.
