Unable to install update KB961260 on Windows server 2008 64bits

Besides the update error, my server manager show error when i click on the
roles and features.

I was having this same exact error on my systems... the only way I was able
to fix this was by copying certain files from another 2008 server where this
update installed successfully. It's a pretty convoluted process, but it
works... here are the steps i took.

On "working" machine:
=========================
Go to C:\Windows\servicing\Packages
Copy the following 6 files:
Package_for_KB961260_server_0~31bf3856ad364e35~amd 64~~6.0.1.3.mum
Package_for_KB961260_server_0~31bf3856ad364e35~amd 64~~6.0.1.3.cat
Package_for_KB961260_server~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64 ~~6.0.1.3.mum
Package_for_KB961260_server~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64 ~~6.0.1.3.cat
Package_for_KB961260~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~6.0.1 .3.mum
Package_for_KB961260~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~6.0.1 .3.cat

On "broken" machine
=========================
Go to C:\Windows\servicing\
Right click "Packages" folder, change owner to local admin (including
subfolders/files; ok to warning), then edit permissions to give admin modify
rights (you need this to copy the files from working server)
Copy the files from working server to broken server (into Packages folder)
Reset permissions and ownership on Packages folder (remove modify for admin,
change owner to "NT SERVICE\TrustedInstaller" - don't forget to include
subfolders/files)
Run the CheckSUR.exe again, should no longer report errors

You should then have a working "Server Manager" again!
