According to your description, I understand that you can not update from
the Windows Update website. If it is not your concerns, please let me know.
Before we go any further, please paste the detailed error symptom to the
newsgroup. So that we isolate the issue more clearly, please also help
gather the information below:
1. Please check the event view to see if there are any related
error message, paste them to the event view.
2. Please check if there is any third part software installed on
your SBS 2003, temporally stop them to see if the problem can be resolved.
3. Please follow the steps below to make a clean reboot to see if
the problem can be resolved:
a. Click "Start"->"Run".
b. Type MSCONFIG and press Enter to launch MSCONFIG
(Microsoft System Configuration Utility).
c. Click "Selective Startup".
d. Clear "Process Win.ini file" and "Load startup items".
e. Click "Services".
f. Check "Hide All Microsoft Services" and click "Disable
All".
g. Click "OK" and follow the instructions to restart Windows.
4. Could you try to update by the automatically update to see if
the problem still exist?
