Unable to open word attachment in Windows Mail

Whenever I open a Word attachment in Windows Mail, I get a message to make a
connection in Windows Configurator. There I have connected all .doc etc
extenions to Word, but with no result. Who can help me?

It's not a good practice to open attachments in Windows Mail.
Save the attachment, then open the saved file.
