unable to play games on Windows Live Messenger

I use windows, my friend used MAC OS. We are unable to play games on Windows
Live Messenger.
Is this a known problem?

Greetings,

If your contact is using Messenger:Mac on Mac OS X then you won't be able to play the games
with that contact as they're only supported on the Windows version.

yes this is a known problem. my friend and i both have windows live and we
cant play games together when one invited the other.
