Unable to receive any email from Yahoo account

I have followed all the directions from Yahoo and Windows to set up my email
account in Windows Mail but I keep receiving the following message:
Account: 'plus.pop.mail.yahoo.com', Server: 'plus.pop.mail.yahoo.com',
Protocol: POP3, Server Response: '-ERR popgate unknown command', Port: 995,
Secure(SSL): Yes, Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC18

Does anyone have any suggestions on what I'm doing wrong?

Do you pay Yahoo for their "Mail Plus" premium account?
If yes, that error message indicates that you are attempting to use
an option that Yahoo does not support.
Go to Tools, Accounts, select that mail account, Properties, Servers.
Uncheck the box for "Log on using Secure Password Authentication."
