Unable to remove old data

I have an HP6315. I am trying to sync with an Exchange server. As soon as
I click the Inbox button on the Server Synchronization screen and click
"Delete the items on my device...", I get an error message, "Unable to
remove old data from the device. Please wait a minute and try again."
T-mobile support did not have any solutions. Besides a hard reset and
wiping out of the data, is there another solution to get server syncing
working? Also, I am not syncing mail with the PC.

Thanks,

Robert

Try deleting the partnership, then when the partnership wizard pops up
state that you are synchronizing with this computer only.

I deleted the partnership. I then recreated the partnership with only this
computer. I then synced. I then tried to switch to Server Synchronization
and I still receive the same "Unable to remove old data from the device.
Please wait a minute and try again." error.

The only way I can get it to work is if I hard reset. If I restore, I have
the same problem. I don't want to lose all of my data/programs.
