I've installed Windows Live Messenger 2009 Beta on my new laptop a Acer
Aspire 5930G. After setting up everything, i login to the messenger to run
audio and video setup. However, it just prompt me that Windows Live Messenger
is unable to run the setup.

Since that's the case, i uninstall the beta and install Live Messenger 8.5
and is able to run the audio and video setup.

So i was wondering is this the software or my hardware issue?

I was having the same problem on XP with a very old Logitech QuickCam
and found a suggestion in another forum that it was a WLM2009 problem
so I uninstalled WLM2009, Googled WLM2008 install, and downgraded, an
everything is working now
