I added the password to my mail accounts.
Then clicked the apply button.
When I come back, under the Server Tab under my Properties the password is
gone.

Please help.

Hello,

I would try using Windows Live Mail Desktop beta, and see if that solves
your problem.

Why??? If the OP wants to use Windows Mail then why send him to another client that is in Beta. What happens if his email is a pop3 by chance?

You didn't specify which email client program you are using.
This is a known issue with Outlook 2002 in Vista.

Actually, Windows Live Mail Desktop does POP3 mail (and IMAP). It takes a
lot of getting used to and has advertisements and I don't see how a beta
program is going to solve his problem, but the programming team is quite
proud of WLMD.

Gary:

I am using the "Windows Mail" (WM) that came with Vista Home Premium.

As long as I don't close WM down, it won't ask me for the login info.

Keith

P.S. Is this a BUG in WM?

The only suggestion I can think of is to delete the problem accounts,
close WinMail, start it again, recreate the mail accounts and try again.
Although I've never had it happen, I understand that sometimes
email account(s) can get corrupted, especially so when using an
antivirus program with its email scan option activated. Always
leave that option turned off if you value your email.

I ended up checking the "remember password" box before typing in the password
and it fixed the problem for me.
