Unable to select "Run as administrator" its greyed out!

I have an app that needs to be run in admin mod
when i right click on shortcut, under compatibility, its greyed out
Any ideas

It can depend on the location of the app, whether it's a system file etc.
More info required for a solution.

Try clicking 'Advanced' on the 'Shortcut' tab for the shortcut's Properties
dialog box, and checking the relevant option.

If you turn UAC on, it won't be grayed out. Otherwise, you are already
running the program as administrator, if you are logged on to an
administrative account. As it is, it's grayed out because it's an invalid
choice. In other words, with UAC off, the privilege level is already
administrative when you run the program.
