Hi fellow vista users,

I was wondering if anyone had experieced a similar problem - and if there is
a solution to it!

When using the windows vista desktop theme, I am sometimes unable to use the
mouse to select or click on certain parts of a window. For example, if i
plug in my flash drive, the autorun window appears, but then if i click on
"open files", the whole window "greys out" as though I had just clicked on
the desktop and deselected the current window. the only thing i can click on
is the X box to exit.

If I can the theme to windows classic (you know the one that looks like
you're running Windows 98), it works fine... but I dont want want the boxy
look of the classic theme - i want it to look like vista and i want to be
able to use the vista applications like tablet PC.

If I put it back to vista theme, it will work for a few days before the
"clicking" problem presents itself again.

If anyone else has encountered this problem, please let me know... but
better still, a solution please!!!!!

I'm running vista home premium on an ASUS, and the mouse is just one of
those standard microsoft optical ones.

Thanks,
Kev

How many MBs is in your Graphics? You need a minimum of 128 to run Aero.
And have you checked for updated Vista Drivers for your Graphics, at the
Graphics manufacturer's website?

Hi Mick
Thanks for the reply.
Not exactly sure how to find out about the MB's for graphics, but on the
comp, it says "GRAPHIC: INTEL Int. GMA 950 Gfx" if that helps at all. So is
what you're saying that if i turn of aero, it may work? I'll definately try
that.
Hoping not to sound ignorant, but who would be the graphics manufactuer whos
website i would go to?

Thanks,
Kev

Check for updated Drivers especially for Video and Mouse at the maker's
sites
and at Asus for updated BIOS.
