Hi all,

When I select custom update on the Microsoft Update home page and it brings
up what type of update you wish to install (High priority, Software
(optional) or Hardware (optional) and I select one, for e.g. Software,
optional it does not show me the update to be installed instead it shows
another Microsoft Update page (with express and custom buttons) within the
current Microsoft Update page and I am unable to perform any optional updates.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,

Is BitComet installed ? It is ? ... then open IE, click Tools, Add-ons
and disable BitComet before accessing the MU site.

Thanks MowGreen,

You were spot on. it was BitComet that was the problem. Once I disabled
BitComet as you advised I had no further problems with the MU site.

Thanks again.

Mick

I have a similar problem, but when I select either Hardware or Software
updates, I just get no response at all... There is no activity happening.

I do not have BitCommet installed, is there any other way of fixing the
problem?

Thanks

Dirk
