Unable to send messages to yahoo contacts

For the past one week or so, all the messages that I send to my yahoo
contacts from windows live messenger get bounced back and are not delivered
to the receiptant(s). Moreover, my yahoo contacts are always shown offline.
However, my yahoo contacts are easily able to send me messages.

I am using windows live messenger ver 8.0.0812.00. Please help out!

I am having exactly the same problem. My Yahoo contacts see me online and can
send messages which I receive OK but I get an error if I reply. My Yahoo
contacts always appear offline to me.

This happens on two separate computers which I guess points to the problem
being outside my PC.

I was using version 8 but I upgraded to 8.1 beta to see if that helped which
it didn't.

Any thoughts anyone?

Yes you are right!
My other friends using MSN are'nt facing this problem. So i guess this
problem has cropped up with select MSN account like yours and mine.

Do you think we should report this issue to Microsoft ??

Which i think is the same issue.

I agree that it's most likely a problem with our accounts rather than our
software so we certainly can report it if you think it will do any good.

I am having the exact same problems. For me it seems limited to yahoo
contacts who are never shown as online but can contact me. I also get the
message that "this contact is not in your contact list" but when I click on
the link, nothing happens.
