One version old; should be 12.0.1606.

When you run the installer, uncheck everything that you don't want
installed. It *is* possible to only install Windows Live Mail; I have done
it. That would include unchecking stuff on the first menu that pops up.

All of the other issues should be resolved by installing the latest version.
If WLM 12.0.1365 is working fine, otherwise, you can just install the latest
version over it. I did it that way.
