What you are trying to accomplish has nothing to do with conflict
resolution-the conflict resolution setting only come into affect when there
has been an entry updated on both the PPC and the Main Machine. The solution
I would go for is to create a new partnership and when it tells you that
this data type has not been synchronized before, select the option that
overwrites all data on the computer. Then, simply don't make any changes in
outlook on your machine and activesync will never need to write to your PPC.
I don't know why anyone would want this beyond the initial sync (which is
why you are only presented with this option on the first sync) but there you
go.
Alternatively, there are third party activesync extensions that force a one
way overwrite on each sync, ala the option in Chapura for Palm OS, but those
need to be installed on top of activesync and are separate bits of software.
