Unable to Sync via the internet

I wonder if anyone can help?

I have Server 2003 SP1, Exchange 2003 SP2, Windows mobile 2005. When I set
the authentication to basic I can get OMA to work fine. I really want
Activesync to work, but upon connecting I get the following response from the
device.

"Your account in Microsoft Exchange Server does not have permission to
synchronize with your current settings. Contact your Exchange Server
administrator" Support code = 0x85010001.

All user permission for OMA are enabled etc. Anyone help?

Hi,
The error 0x85010001 is translated as An invalid HTTP communication or
protocol syntax occurred. Have you customized the headers for the
webserver?
